Trainee, 12 months' contract - Credit Management
Responsibilities
- Support senior analysts and manager of the team
- Review and understand the financial statements of corporates and convert them to the bank’s standard model
- Conduct credit risk assessment of corporates and peer comparisons
- Manage all matters related to the submission of credit requests, including follow-ups with product managers, relationship managers and credit risk officers, to ensure requests are approved in a timely manner
- Track corporate and industry news and provide early identification of emerging risks
- Participate in projects relating to topics such as automatic financial spreading, E&S and early warning signals
- Support administrative tasks which include MIS updates, liaising with IT support teams, prepare presentation deck on powerpoint, meeting minutes writing etc.
Profile required
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE
- Recent graduates from either Business, Finance or Accounting discipline
- Knowledge of accounting and IFRS
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Has interest in research and well-versed in data collection from public news sources
- Adept in reading rating reports from S&P and Moody’s
- Banking product knowledge is a plus
- Strong computer application skills including Powerpoint and Excel macros
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Shows initiative and pays attention to details
This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
