As an APAC CSR Office team member, you will work closely with our CSR and sustainability experts on all sustainability-related topics, with a focus on the role of financial institutions in accelerating the ecological and energy transition and the implementation of our CSR policy.

The candidate will be part of a growing team based in Singapore.  They will work closely with teams in our APAC offices, including teams based in Hong Kong, Beijing, Sydney, Mumbai, Seoul and Tokyo. They will work closely with our sustainable finance team, our global markets division,  compliance, HR, the RSE team in Paris, credit risk management and market risk management. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the implementation of our CSR and sustainability strategy in APAC.
  • Sustainability research and due diligence : assist in curating CSR and sustainability news, deals and developments in APAC.
  • Supporting the integration of ESG risk factors into SGs risk management processes. Generating new policy developments, with a strong focus on the energy and ecological transition.
  • Participating in our external affairs mission and internal capacity-building:  help to prepare sustainability presentations and training materials, keep up to date with regional developments in the sustainability space.
  • Supporting our business teams as required in their Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance and Responsible Investment offerings (e.g. ESG integration, Impact Investing, new products, internal and external stakeholder outreach).
  • To be considered for this role, please ensure that you will have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree by the start date and are able to commit full-time.

Profile required


Academic Background and Certifications, Experience

  • Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Computer and Information Science, Law, Business, Finance or a related technical field or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in banking / insurance / in an extra-financial agency / or in an ESG department of a corporate an advantage
  • Knowledge of or experience working on current sustainability issues an advantage: e.g. climate change, energy transition, biodiversity, food systems, human rights/anti-slavery, financial inclusion, sustainable cities
