Trainee - 12 months' Contract - Trade Commodity Finance

Responsibilities


Mission:

  • Support and work closely with Senior Relationship Managers in the Trade Commodity Finance team in Asia

  • Prepare credit applications of structured trade and financing facilities, organize the credit review process and prepare facility/security documentation

  • Perform account opening/closing, new client on-boarding (including KYC) & product pricing/profitability simulations

  • Actively follow up on the flow of financed transactions

  • Liaise with other departments of the Bank for efficient handling of operations, processes and regulatory requirements



Profile Required


Skills Required:

  • Relevant Bachelors or Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics or related field

  • Keen interest in the commodities industry and trade finance

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments from different team members concurrently while prioritizing the duties assigned

  • A team player that is self-driven, responsive, positive attitude, resourceful and able to work independently

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Fluent in English. Additional Asian languages especially Mandarin is a plus.

Trade Commodity Finance is a business line housed under the platform of Natural Resources with a worldwide presence. TCF offers financing solutions to commodity traders and processes as well as trade finance services to cover traders and commodity players non-payment risk.


We are looking to appoint a new or recent graduate (with less than 1 year of working experience) in the Trade Commodity Finance Team in Singapore offering an initial one year traineeship program.
