We advise some of the world’s largest Hedge Funds, Asset managers, Pensions & Insurers, providing quantitative and derivative based solutions for alpha generation & hedging .

Societe Generale are one of the market leaders in derivatives & quantitative solutions, hence you’ll be joining a sought after team.

You’ll be exposed to some exciting work, very early on.

The Global Markets functions is a trusted partner to external clients (Corporates, Financial institutions and Asset Managers) in market activities, offering a cross-expertise in Research, Investment and Risk Solutions,  Execution and Prime Services.

From cash execution, equity finance, exotic derivatives to structured products, Societe Generale’s Equities & Derivatives department integrates all Societe Generale’s capabilities in equities.

Our objective is to bring flexible and innovative equity solutions adapted to our clients’ investment strategies and to current market conditions.

With a global presence around the world, our equities & derivatives department offers 24 hours service. In addition to sales and traders, our clients can leverage on our strong financial engineers capabilities to answer their needs.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

Tasks will include:

  • Supporting senior sales people in providing them with the analysis to help us solve complex client problems.
  • Working with partners in research, structuring, trading helping suggest amendments/restructuring of existing trades based on deep analysis.
  • To consolidate the reports/analysis of the various internal departments to help craft high impact pitches for salespeople.
  • To help with the creation of client pitchdecks.

Profile required

Competencies 

Skills required include:

  • A degree from a leading university
  • Quantitative/Mathematical background ideal, but not essential.
  • A thirst for learning & improving
  • Some market knowledge / interest Investment banking/ financial services industry
  • Sound numerical and Literacy skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player, proactively  shares information and collaborates with others
  • Highly motivated, proactive and entrepreneurial
  • Reliable professional conduct
  • Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for following matters through to completion
  • SG Leadership Model competence as defined for individual contributors
  • Ability to develop relationships based on trust and professionalism
  • Language requirements if applicable are as defined to support the role purpose and coverage areas. (English is the business language for SG)
