Responsibilities
1st year:
- Understanding of the team and its activities across the Region
- Familiar of the internal tools and processes for the daily mandate of support
- Participate in the migration of ITRS Monitoring project
- Automate processes using scripts, macros and other programming languages etc. (eg regression/stress testing, small enhancements, etc)
- Contribute to Capacity Monitoring dashboards enhancement and support
- Monitoring / troubleshooting of trading systems and monitoring tools
- Assist with client on-boarding or migration
2nd year:
- Process deeper knowledge on the business activities
- Communicate with internal teams and vendors to facilitate our client business
- Proactively troubleshoot incidents, document them and follow-up on their remediation plan until roll-out
- Contribute to Capacity Monitoring dashboards enhancement and support
- Attend to minor/small production requests from the business
Candidates with outstanding performance will be considered for early conversion to permanent roles.

The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.
Profile required
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree holder is preferred
- Graduates with some working experience gained from other sectors are also welcomed
- Curious, autonomous and passionate, you understand the problems presented and use empirical thinking to identify root causes
- Possess innovation and creative thinking to deliver ingenious, simple and efficient solutions
- Knowledge in coding skills (Python, UNIX shell, Java/JavaScript, Perl Scripting, C++)
- Understanding of database querying languages such as SQLite, MS SQL, Postgre, Elastic Search, etc.
- Familiarity exchange trading protocol ITCH/OUCH/FIX
- Thorough understanding of Network and Firewall concepts.
- English language skills are essential

The candidate will join the “Prime Execution Services" PXS team and will be working in an Agile environment. Our team is composed of cross-functional specialists and is responsible for the whole application lifecycle (including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance & support, decommission).
