Société Générale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes Payment & Cash Management (PCM), Trade Services (TRA), Factoring and Supply Chain Finance (SGF) and Cash Clearing Services (BAN), as well as the FX services associated with these activities.
The PCM team delivers and supports cash management products and services that are provided to our corporate customers. With over 6,000 specialists in over 50 countries, PCM is a strategic activity for Société Générale, and we can offer the expertise of a large international banking group and experience spanning over twenty years.
The TRA team delivers all trade-related services such as documentary credits or LCs, Standby Letters of Credit, International guarantees and finance associated across 50 countries.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
Part of the Global Transaction Banking division, the mission of the Sales Support Officer will be to support the PCM Sales in their commercial activities.
In liaison with all the PCM Sales, the successful candidate will help prepare the meetings, attend the meetings, and take responsibility for following up actions points until completion.
By identifying new opportunities (“farming”), the Sales Support Officer will help grow the portfolio organically and increase the NBI of the branch.
Summary of responsibilities
The successful candidate will work with the PCM sales to actively review some of the relationships in their portfolio with an objective to market Payments & Cash Management solutions to increase the NBI.
Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:
o Bank accounts (current, escrow, charged...)
o Domestic and international means of payment
o Foreign Exchange (when related to cross-border payments)
o Electronic Banking products as well as associated services
o Liquidity Management solutions
o Active cross-selling with the different Business Units of the Bank
All commercial actions shall be recorded in the CRM tool and documented on the common drive.
Provide feedback from clients/prospects to Product Development Division in order to ensure the Bank maintains a competitive position in the International Corporate Cash Management market.
Help the PCM Sales in their commercial activities by providing support on RFPs, preparing specific activity reports, launching KYC requests and customer on-boarding process, drafting commercial presentations and renewing credit.
Act as back up of the PCM Sales when they are absent.
Assist the team with digital initiative
The PCM Sales Support Officer will have intensive interaction with the Customer Support team and the Product Manager re: operational topics.
