UK Corporate DCM Analyst
Responsibilities
About the team:
Our Debt Capital Markets team is consistently ranked in the top 5 in Europe having established a fantastic reputation of quality service both in structuring and executing deals.
The team works closely with other units across the Bank encompassing products from:
Debt Capital Markets: Bonds (various currencies), Private Placements, Project Bonds
Interest and FX Derivatives (IFD): Hedging including MRA
DCM Solutions and Advisory (DSA): Liability Management, Hybrid Capital, ESG Finance
Investment Banking: Acquisition Finance, Corporate Finance
Offering clients the most comprehensive suite of services, while enabling the Bank to deliver on its “originate to distribute” strategy and increase its overall share of the lending market.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team given the development of our entire lending platform, strong deal-flow and opportunities we can provide to work closely with senior bankers, gain direct interaction with clients and gain access to the full deal lifecycle.
Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:
You will work closely with all members of the Northern Europe Corporate DCM team and their Corporate Client base
Support the senior team members on the analytical side, creation of presentations and marketing materials and ensuring they have all required information to advise clients effectively
Representing the Northern European Corporate DCM team in junior forums and supporting the growth of the DCM platform by sharing best practice and ideas
Responsibilities:
Support the team in developing client presentations, proposals and updates
Assist the execution of DCM mandates, coordinating internal and external resources
Conduct analysis on new issues and credit analysis on target clients
Prepare frequent written market updates and client marketing documents
Work with other business lines, the coverage until and investment banking to create internal and external marketing presentations
Develop internal network to enhance coordination and the sharing of ideas between SG product teams
Assist in ensuring deal compliance is met, preparation of insider lists, KYC and deal logging
Ensure that deal files and all aspects of transaction management are completed on time and accurately for new deals
Monitor trading levels of key clients and highlight any notable movements to other members of the team
Keep up to date with SG research views and produce marketing material to represent these views into the market
Profile required
PROFILE REQUIRED
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
Able to create financial models without supervision
Understanding of Bond pricing models and methodology
Ability to work under time pressure on multiple projects
Exceptional attention to detail
Able to establish strong working relationships quickly and effectively – both internally and externally
Ability to gain insight into clients needs and requirements to be able to provide short and long term advice
Experience working with Bloomberg and other information feeds
Ideally previous experience in DCM and Investment Banking
