Description of the Business Line or Department

The Structured finance hedging team sits in the corporate sales team focussing on hedging transactions (FX, rates, inflation derivatives) linked to financings done by SG in the context of leverage finance, infrastructure, natural resources financings for instance. In terms of client base, the team focuses on corporates as well as infrastructure and private equity funds.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

  • Prepare client presentations in support of the sales team
  • Price derivatives structures and help preparing credit requests
  • Maintain business data statistics for the team

Summary of responsibilities

  • Prepare commercial proposals to Clients as well as products offering documents (term sheets)
  • Pricing of interest rate/fx derivative products and strategies
  • Assist the team in preparing the credit requests, incl. calculations of transactions profitability
  • Assist the team in preparing and updating the data bases for reporting purposes (iC, x-Prism)
  • Research on market and clients
  • Interact daily with the Marketing and Pricing/Structuring Teams (for pricing requests or marketing presentations)
  • Provide a high level of operational support to the sales (trades follow-up, on-boarding process, documentation)
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and guidelines (SHB, clients on-boarding, credit risk checks, product guidelines, margin policies, restructuring policies, etc.)

A previous internship in a sales team either on derivatives markets or structured financings would be a plus


  • Degree from a top tier university
  • Consistently excellent academic record
  • Strong quantitative background (maths A-level minimum preferred)


  • Native/Fluent in English
  • Another language would be a plus
