Base Salary Range: $104,000 - $275,000

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

ETD/CORP is looking for a motivated Listed Derivatives Sales Trader to be part of the ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) Agency trading team. This opportunity is for a sales trader who will preferably have some Futures trading experience and the ability to provide execution coverage to a wide range of international clients - including Japanese on listed derivatives markets. The firm’s platform offers equities, options, futures, and ETF abilities in U.S. and foreign markets.  Some knowledge of electronic trading systems an advantage. This is a fast moving, client facing environment so good inter-personal skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to multitask essential.


  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience sales trading of global derivatives, ideally with established client relationships which are portable to a competitive platform.

  • Knowledge of market structure of derivatives exchanges and regulatory framework.

  • Knowledge of using Order Management Systems (ideally Fidessa), FIX protocol, Trade workflows.

  • Knowledge of working of execution algorithms.

  • Knowledge of transaction cost analysis.

  • Fluent in both English and Japanese

  • Sales mandate in securing new client business while growing existing accounts.

  • Execution of global listed derivatives (futures and options), as part of a 24/6 global agency trading desk.

  • Establish overnight Japan desk presence in New York, to help cover Japan based clients.  Work with existing overnight Japan desk based in Chicago.

  • Execution of all listed derivatives asset classes, including equities, FX, commodities, and fixed income.

  • Ensuring client orders are executed in best possible fashion; focus on building relationships with clients.

  • Gather derivatives market information and analysis to communicate with clients.

  • Ensure proper risk controls and procedures are followed.

  • Provide inputs to algo quants to improve proprietary algorithms based on client feedback or your own.

  • Provide inputs to product managers and COOs on improving the trading systems and workflows.

  • Ability to provide of listed derivatives execution coverage to a wide range of clients.
  • Ability to deliver execution advisory services including pre / post trade TCA, technical market microstructure reports and industry trends
  • Communication and coordination extremely important.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and cross-sell other asset classes with other desks.
  • Ability to manage risk of listed derivatives orders.
  • Ability to interact closely with IT, Operations, and other support functions within the division to sustain and improve risk management, operational efficiency, algorithm platform, and client or trading tools.
  • Effective speaking and written communications skills.
  • Bi-lingual English and Japanese – incl. reading/writing skills
  • Series 3, 7, 63 (Series 57 a plus)
