Vice President, Structured Solutions and Leasing

Singapore Permanent contract Corporate and Investment Banking


The role will ideally be situated in Singapore, with the flexibility to be in Hong Kong.

The position requires a person has a good balance between

  • technical skills, required for financial engineering /deal structuring and
  • commercial abilities that need to be developed over time to engage with clients for deal origination

Main Responsibilities

  • Product knowledge: get knowledge of Structured Solutions and Leasing “SSL” product offers, conduct market intelligence
  • Participate to the development of SSL franchise (marketing, R&D for new products) in APAC
  • Originate transactions for SSL perimeter, in co-ordination with other Societe Generale “SG” business lines as appropriate
  • Contribute to the structuring and execution of SSL transactions in accordance with SG and SSL  governance and approval process (internal memos, credit application, legal documentation negotiation and review…)
  • Transaction monitoring: prepare monitoring spreadsheet for handover to middle office, monitor transactions performance, prepare regular portfolios reviews
  • Day to day relationships and coordination with internal parties (e.g. risk, legal, KYC teams, compliance, middle-office) and external ones (e.g. lawyers, auditors, corporate servicers)
  • Responsibility for ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal Policies that relate to you, your business or other businesses for which you have any level of responsibility

Profile required

Academic Background And Certifications, Experience

Qualifications required

  • University: Master or MBA level
  • Experience: Structured finance

Required Technical Competencies

  • Understanding of the structured finance environment in a cross-border environment
  • Financial modelling skills in the context of structured finance transactions (including tax-based, leasing, regulatory and/or accounting solutions)
  • Capacity to generate pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling and comprehensive in address clients’ needs
  • Communication skills: ability to deliver coherent messages to team members
