Responsibilities

Summary of the key purposes of the role:

  • Support the business development and origination of sustainable financing solutions in favour of our clients in coordination with GLBA/ENV teams in APAC region and Paris as well as other business lines and coverage teams
  • Structuring of sustainable financing solutions in favour of our clients  in cooperation of other business lines and coverage teams
  • Contribute to raise risk awareness and spread the knowledge on Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance among GLBA staff in APAC region
  • Participate actively in the reinforcement of our external communication on the Group's sustainability ambition and capabilities and our involvement in collaborative initiatives.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Support the business development and origination of sustainable financing opportunities in APAC region alongside other business lines and coverage team. This will include marketing and pitching clients on SG Sustainable Finance capabilities as well as positioning SG as a key partner of our clients to accompany them in their sustainability strategy
  • Structure sustainable finance products to APAC clients in cooperation with other business lines and coverage teams
  • Interact with ESG rating agencies and other external E&S advisors
  • Cooperate with other business lines and departments to develop further funding solutions and enlarge the investors base  through ESG advisory services
  • Participate actively in the raise awarness and spread the knowledge on the Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance among the teams in the different locations (notably through trainings)
  • Maintain a regular dialog with key players and participate in the most influential local working groups and colloborative initiatives to position SG as an active Sustainable Finance partner in APAC
  • Monitor the market/technological developments in relevant sectors and countries with the assistance of the business lines and business units
  • Operational and conduct risk:
  • Ensure compliance with SG APAC policy and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with the Global Banking and Advisory division (GLBA) Handbook and Sustainable & Positive Impact Finance Solutions (GLBA/ENV) governance
  • Embody SG’s Code of Conduct
  • Complete all mandatory trainings within the specified deadlines

In addition to the minimum responsibilities, the following responsibilities also apply to the role:

  • Comply with all Risk and regulatory obligations where relevant
  • Responsibility to act within agreed risk limit (credit/market, etc...)
  • Responsibility for ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal Policies that relate to you, your business or other businesses for which you have any level of responsibility
  • Responsibility for reading, understanding and complying with the Company's Conduct and Standards and corresponding regulations. You will be notified of changes to policies in a timely manner through announcements and/or intranet updates

Profile required

Technical:

  • Experience in the structuring and execution of Sustainable Finance solutions and/or experience in the ESG space
  • Understanding of the loan/capital market, its dynamics and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to propose relevant financing solutions
  • Capacity to generate pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients’ needs
  • Responsibility – capacity to understand and manage risks (conduct, reputational, financial, etc.) for the Sustainable & Positive Impact Finance Solutions team, the Global Banking and Advisory division, and SG Group, and act responsibly in line with SG Group Values, Code of Conduct, and other applicable rules & regulations

  • Type 1 - Dealing in securities
  • Type 4 - Advising on securities
