VIE: Corporate Client Coverage
Responsibilities
We are looking for an energetic, dynamic and driven individual to join us as an Analyst for our Corporate Client Coverage team for South East Asia based in Singapore. The role will focus on supporting the Relationship Managers and to develop your abilities to manage a portfolio of MNC clients. The individual should possess strong communication skill sets, a charming personality and be a strong team player who is also able to work independently.
Your Role
- Under the guidance and mentorship from the Corporate Banking Relationship Managers (RMs), to develop the candidate’s abilities to manage a portfolio of diversified MNCs by building up strong relationships with the respective CFO/Treasurer/Treasury team members with the key objective of deepening existing client wallet and broadening the client dialogue with the respective SG business lines.
- Work closely and proactively with the respective Global Relationship Mangers to ensure seamless communication and coordination to deliver to client expectations and NBI generating objectives.
- Work closely with business lines in Global Markets, Structured Finance and Global Transaction Banking in the cross-selling of the bank’s product suite by identifying and understanding client’s business needs.
- Work closely with Credit team to manage credit facilities request and maintain proactive interaction with risk chain to ensure that they are up to date with client expectations and the dynamic business landscape for MNCs in Singapore.
- Work closely with middle office and back office teams to ensure seamless delivery of the bank’s products to clients.
- In relation to own portfolio and in support of RMs:
- Prepare client pitch books, deal/transaction pipeline, deal closing and execution, preparation for client meetings, research/analysis reports (such as company profile, briefing notes etc)
- Perform new client on-boarding/off-boarding (including Know Your Customers “KYC”) & loan pricing/profitability simulations
- Perform basic financial spreading for credit rating purposes
- Coordinate with other departments of the Bank to ensure seamless delivery to client requirements
Profile required
- You are graduated with a Master degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or similar from a reputable university.
- Previous experience in Coverage is preferred with a focus on marketing of global markets and transaction banking products.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments from different team members concurrently while prioritizing the duties assigned
- Proactive, dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is a team player with strong business acumen.
- Ability to communicate in French would be an advantage due to European MNCs coverage and liaising with our Paris HQ colleagues.
- CMFAS Module 4B certified (can acquired within 2 months on the job).
- Fluent English is mandatory.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Singapore is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see: Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
