Responsibilities

Transaction support to the relevant deal team leader in the Energy team on advisory and arranging mandates, including:

  • Financial modeling and analysis of financial projections
  • Review of various documentation, including information memorandum and finance documents
  • Review of various due diligence reports
  • Assisting in preparation of credit applications and other internal approval requests
  • Assisting in preparation of presentations for clients

Support for origination and marketing, including:

  • Research on companies, market and industry trends
  • Preparation of marketing materials
  • Assist in preparation of proposals

Profile required

  • You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Finance.
  • Ideally you have past experience in project finance team, otherwise in financial analysis.
  • Fluent in English

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Singapore is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.

Department Description

Energy Project Finance is a core business for the Global Banking & Investor Solutions unit of Societe Generale. For over 20 years, we have been advising and lending to multi-billion dollar projects across power and oil & gas sectors. The Singapore teams cover South and South-East Asia and work closely with our offices in Hong-Kong, Sydney and Europe. We cover a wide range of assets, including thermal and renewable power generation, refining, LNG, petrochemicals… We have a very active deal flow and the successful candidate will be working in a fast paced and demanding environment that requires an individual who has a strong interest in the energy industry and financial markets. The VIE will assist the Singapore, Hong-Kong and Sydney teams in the origination and execution of project finance debt advisory and arranging mandates in the energy sector across Asia-Pacific.
