VIE Global Risk Management – Risk Manager/Second Level Controller
Responsibilities
Risk Managers are involved in analysing operational risk data versus the existing control framework, collectively assessing the design and operating effectiveness of the second level controls. The role encompasses decisions regarding assessment scope (with the assistance of management, as required). The role holder will decide on improvement recommendations, track open anomalies and open Action Plans through to closing actions.
Tasks and responsibilities
In the Risk Management Dept. the resource is dedicated to the second level controls.
The primary purpose of the role is to:
1. Perform second level control reviews on basis of Business Unit and Support Function first level controls
2. Make recommendations to improve the quality of the first level control framework
3. Ensure the implementation of recommendations
Provide a 2nd level control assessment rating. Review, challenge / advise on the robustness of the 1st level controls, on a sample basis.
Consolidate and provide an independent opinion on the control framework within the 2nd Level reviews and propose areas for improvement. Track and report progress on raised actions.
Due to the VIE eligibility criteria, a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.
Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master’s degree in Finance or Economics from an Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Banking
• A previous experience in Risk Management would be appreciated
Language skills:
• Fluent in English
• Intermediate in Italian
Technical, operational & soft skills:
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Milan is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
