Within Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB) , you will join as VIE our Global Banking and Advisory branch (GLBA). The VIE position is situated in Energy and Infrastructure Department (GLBA/NAT), structure that offers a broad range of products to our clients, including arranging and structuring of Project Finance loans and financial advisoryOn the Iberian market and bot on the Energy & Infrastructure sectors.

The VIE will join the Madrid NAT team. He or she will have to perform the tasks of an Analyst and will work alongside the team to provide support to the senior originators.

As a VIE, you will have exposure to senior originators in charge of NAT business and hence the opportunity to be closely involved in the structuring of complex project finance transactions in all aspects of the business, modeling, documentation, credit review and marketing actions of the team. In addition, you will be trained by other members of the junior pool and will learn a lot about NAT products and practices.

 Amongst other responsibilities:

- pipeline and reporting update

- modeling

- credit applications and credit review

- sectorial analysis

- portfolio review and analysis

- administrative tasks

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

  • Graduate from Engineering school or University, with a master’s degree in financial Market or graduate from Business School/ Ecole de Commerce

  • You are fluent in English and Spanish.

  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • You ideally have a previous experience in another area of Corporate and Investment Banking, in infrastructure or renewable sector or any modeling/cash flow projection.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Madrid is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
