Responsibilities

As a member of IGAD Japan, you will contribute to audit assignments.  You will support the head of assignment in identifying the areas most at risk and in proposing/performing testing. You will contribute to establish a review plan, elaborate diagnosis, define a testing plan and be the main interlocutor of the auditees on the testing that you are in charge of. You will be part of a “project team” to perform diagnostic meetings and testing, as well as organise the production of the audit report. 
You will also contribute, through transversal projects or as part of an audit review, to improve/automate audit processes and to design new innovative audit technics.
Along the year, you will participate to continuous audit monitoring consisting in following the evolution of the various activities and their associated risks through meetings and data analysis, as well as to the annual risk assessment, which will contribute to establish the annual audit plan. 
When regulatory inspections are held, you will support the head of the division in interfacing with the regulators. 
You will also continuously work on acquiring knowledge and understanding on regulation, be it newly implemented or in existence, that are applicable to the activities in Japan, and on the actual activities that are subject to audit.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Tokyo is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Department Description

The Inspection and Group Audit Division (IGAD) represents Societe Generale’s independent internal audit function, comprised of over 1200 professionals covering SG’s global businesses and services in over 80 countries. The main assignment of internal audit is to assess, as part of an objective, rigorous and impartial approach, the compliance of operations, the actually incurred risk level, the respect of procedures and the efficiency and appropriate character of the permanent control system.
IGAD Asia Department is looking to complement the team with driven individuals, who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are innovative and prepared to generate new ideas and “go the extra-mile” in achieving a common goal.
The Japan team is multicultural, composed of 3 senior auditors, 1 junior auditor (this position), 1 trainee, and 1 manager.
IGAD Japan covers the 4 SG entities in Japan and is part of IGAD APAC. IGAD in Asia covers all the activities of SG Group in the APAC region and teams are present in 7 countries. IGAD Japan works closely with the other teams in the region to conduct audit assignments, with mission teams composed of members with diversified profiles, based on skills and expertise. Interaction with colleagues outside Japan are frequent, to develop new methodologies as well as new data analytic tools.
As junior auditor, you will support and contribute to the overall cycle of audit missions (scoping, diagnostic, testing, report writing, conclusions) and are encouraged to propose innovative approaches, notably through data analytics.
