Responsibilities

You will join the Risk and Compliance Level 2 Permanent Control team, reporting to SG Luxembourg's Management and functionally to the SG Group 2d level control Risk and Compliance Departments.
The permanent control framework is a continuous approach aiming to manage risks and is consisting of :
- Level 1 permanent control, placed under the responsibility of the business lines, which consists of risk prevention measures and managerial supervision;
- Level 2 permanent control, which aims to ensure the proper execution and effectiveness of Level 1 controls.

The mission of the Level 2 Compliance and Risk permanent controller-VIE covers controls relating to the business lines and support units present in the entities of the SG Luxembourg Group that fall within the scope of the Compliance and Risk sectors: credit risks, market risks, operational risks - including risks relating to human resources, real estate, purchasing, IT tools and Cyber security -, non-compliance risks, legal risks and tax risks.

The perimeter of entities to be covered includes SG Luxembourg and its Luxembourg and foreign subsidiaries (SGPB Switzerland and SGPB Monaco).

Under the supervision of the level 2 permanent control manager or senior level 2 controllers:

• You will contribute to the implementation of the level 2 permanent control plan by carrying out architectural or extensive reviews in order to :
          - Ensure the effectiveness and relevance of the first level controls
          - Verify compliance with the Group's standards in terms of design and execution of the control procedures in force
          - Formulate an opinion on the effectiveness of the first-level permanent control system

•  You will contribute to the deployment of the "Level 2 Permanent Controls" community with contacts with the Compliance and Risk departments in Paris and with other teams around the world.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Banks and/or Audit environment
• A first trainee experience in the banking sector could be an advantage
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Fluent in English

You are known for your rigour and reliability. You are curious and autonomous, and have good analytical skills and the ability to take a step back, as well as good writing skills. 
You will be dynamic, adaptable and have good communication skills, which will be a real asset for your success in this position and for developing in a demanding environment.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Luxembourg is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
