The remit of the Trading Business Manager is broad and includes the following responsibilities:
•    Design and implement the Short Sell and Position Management control framework within the regulatory context of each country. 
•    Design and implement the pre-trade control framework within applicable rules and regulations, as well as the group’s guidelines on trade Risk Management. 
•    Act as the Pre-trade Risk Manager for MARK Asia 
•    Act as the product owner of the IT components in the above framework
•    Work with Front Office to implement their business requirements within the pre-trade control framework 
•    Collect and use pre-trade control consumption data to asses patterns/trends/gaps and use results to assist Front Office in the calibration of the pre-trade control limits
•    Assist Front Office with managing special event days (rebalance, expiries,…)
•    Onboard new algos and trading platforms through the relevant committees
•    Oversee algorithmic trading activities including trading performance
•    Participate/chair oversight governance instances related to Electronic Trading and Algorithmic Trading 
•    Review and optimize processes within the electronic trading framework both pre- and post-trade. 
•    Work with support functions to evolve the framework within the independent oversight of compliance and risk functions. 
•    Work with other regions to ensure implementation of global framework, as well as other Asia locations with ensure local requirements and specificities are taken care.

Profile required

Competencies And Work Experience
In order for the Trading Business Manager to function optimally, the following skills are required:
•    Solid understanding of financial products
•    Solid understanding of financial markets in general and the Asian region including trading operations and regulations and the risk that trading in financial markets engenders
•    Very good understanding of equity / equity derivatives as well as fixed income including in the context of algorithmic trading.
•    Very good understanding of information technology (networks, client/server, cloud, open source software, agile development). Development experience in a production environment is considered an advantage. 
•    Solid experience in data analysis and the use of various tools to this end (Excel, Python, PowerBI, …)
•    Good experience rendering complex technical subjects easier to understand for laymen
•    Very good communication skills including presentation skills both in a group context as well as one-on-one.
•    Very good at managing projects (short to long term) whilst in a production environment
•    Very good at balancing short and long-term interests and prioritising work on an ongoing basis

Qualifications required or desirable

•    Finance or Technical BSc (MSc preferred)
•    Certificates in software development and/or data science are an advantage
•    Trader Experience is an advantage
•    Fluent English
