Your environment
At Société Générale, you will be joining the Risk department. Its job is to contribute to the development of Société Générale’s business and profitability by defining the Group’s appetite for risk, in liaison with the Finance department and the core businesses. The Risk department is also responsible for implementing the system used to control and monitor risks.
More specifically, you will join the Pricing and Liquidity Model Validation team  within the Market Risk Department of Société Générale in New York acting as part of the second line of defense on liquidity stress testing models.


Your role
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
  • Identify the key liquidity risk factors and evaluate the soundness of the first line of defense model choices. This includes the challenge and review of models assumptions adequacy, the implementation and the proper use of the liquidity models.
  • Develop a strong network and knowledge of how liquidity risks are managed globally within SG and understand the specificities of the AME businesses.
  • Work closely with the Liquidity Risk Officer, the Group liquidity model validation team and the Model Risk Management team.
  • Manage the relationship with different functions part of the first line of defense (Finance, Treasury, IT teams, Front Office…) in order to prepare for the validation of the models under regulatory standards and for continuous review and monitoring of the liquidity stress tests models.


The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York City is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

Your profile
Graduate from Engineering school, Business School or University with a master degree in Finance or Financial Engineering.
You are fluent in English.
You are proficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus.
