Your Mission:

Within the Société Générale Group, you will join the Business Solution Center (BSC), which is a shared services center and is part of the Société Générale Group's Resources and Innovation Department. Within the BSC, the Finance Solutions Center (FIN) ensures the evolutions and the smooth functioning of the application ERG / Regulatory international reports, which aims to produce the regulatory reporting of some subsidiaries of the Company Group in general.


ERG teams of around 12 people -  BAs and Devs (70% in Bucharest, 30% In Paris), are responsible for:

  • Managing the IT application’s development, projects and run support for ECB Regulatory Reporting area (FINREP/COREP/LIQ)
  • Providing a transverse\ functional and technical consistency with the designated perimeter
Your role in a Nutshell:
  • Mixed role with experience in a Team Leader and IT Developer positions;
  • Offering support to Team Leader from Paris in coordinating team activity;
  • Providing expertise and support/implication on development activities assuring technical consistency of change (projects life-cycle) and run support (application support, patch processes, daily monitoring of the application, incident management);
  • Acting as co-interface in the relationship with other teams and departments of the organization;
  • Assuring contribution of the team on the different project phases (opportunity study, framing, analysis and design, functional validation, technicla speciifcation, change management inlcuding adjustments for  regulator requests);
  • Managing Bucharest resource allocation according to budgets, staff plans, delivery plans and production support aligned to business priorities;
  • Managing producing project plans, monitoring implementation, facilitate testing and deployment of releases into production ;
  • Controlling function, ensuring that every step of the development process is followed accordingly to time frame;
  • Ensuring that the developments are properly documented and stored according to the development process;
  • ensuring support application maintenance in response to technical evolutions in related applications;

 A little about you:

  • Over 5 years experience in IT for Banking, minimum 2 years experience in coordination of IT activities;
  • Regarding studies: Academy of Economic Studies (preferred  Cibernetica) or Politehnica University (preferred Faculty of Automatica) or Bucharest University – Faculty of Mathematics Informatics;
  • Technical skills:
    • Advance knowledge in PL/SQL programming - design, create, improve database objects (packages, procedures, functions, tables, etc.)  on Oracle 11 or 12g
    • Unix/Linux shell scripting: at least one-year experience
    • Nice to have knowledge of Control-M job scheduler and/or code versioning software (such as Subversion)
  • Experience in IT management: application development and support, already experience in managing DEVs and BAs;
  • Experience in the banking environment and active participation in transversal projects and maintenance of reporting tools for ECB Regulatory Reporting area (FINREP/COREP/LIQ);
  • Very good understanding of IT projects methodology;
  • Experience in Agile projects, methodology would be a plus;
  • Exposure on IT applicative architecture and understanding of the IT infrastructure;
  • Understand IT security rules, Business Continuity Management;
  • English–very good level of speaking and writing; French – understanding level of speaking and writing- is a plus;
