JOB DESCRIPTION:

Compliance Monitoring Process (CMP)

Conduct periodic internal review and continuously improve the existing Compliance Monitoring Process, review the Statutory checklist and propose changes/ new controls for evaluating and monitoring entity related and vendor related compliances, evaluate the efficiency of the existing controls and suggest improvement / changes based on the evolving laws and regulations

Continuously and effectively monitor compliances with statutory obligations as per Compliance Monitoring Program by reviewing the self-declarations of various Departments and prepare a CMP report for submission to management on a monthly basis

Conducting random sample check of self-declarations made by department and highlight risk / anomalies/ no-compliance, if any, propose mitigation steps in consultation with manager and coordinate with departments / functions for implementation and monitor and report the progress

Prepare quarterly compliance report for presentation to the management and the Compliance Committee in consultation with the Manager

Analyze the impact of any new legal requirements applicable to the organization and propose changes to be made to the existing statutory control checklist and monitor implementation of controls in light of any legal developments or changes

Work towards strengthening the existing controls environment by evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously in collaboration with stakeholders like HR, Finance, Secretarial, Sourcing/ vendor managements, Technology, Communications etc

Work with the technology partners (third party) in seamless functioning of the tool and monitoring the upgrades required to the tool from a statutory perspective

Policy Governance

Ensure adherence to all operating Policies, procedures and guidelines and make an effort to bring an element of continuous improvement in the process and document it

Monitor the Policy and Procedure compliance ensuring adherence at all times. Conduct reviews and report non-compliances to Policies and points of concern for management consideration & to recommend changes to such policies

Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance across the organization to create awareness

Training and Awareness

Develop Compliance training contents and plan for execution across the organization from a compliance perspective

Ensure the zero tolerance areas of the Group and the organization are communicated to the identified vendors

To drive and foster compliance culture initiatives in discussion with the Manager

Others

  • Collaborate with various departments in achieving the Compliance objectives.
  • Participation on Group Projects and implementation.
  • Digitization and process improvements

A resource with 8 - 10 years of Compliance experience ( Enity & Policy Compliances)

Educational Requirements:       Graduate/Postgraduate in Law from a reputed Institute or University

Certification required:                Certification in Compliance is an added advantage

Range of Experience:                    8 - 10 years          

Interphase / Collaboration:       Internal - Various Functions like HR, Finance, Admin & Facilities, Sourcing, Delivery Excellence, Communication, Risk, SG GSC Business Lines &  Group Companies External Vendors, Legal Consultants & Lawyers

Technical: Good knowledge on Labour and Corporate Laws, knowledge on Statutory Compliance and Compliance Risk Management, Audit & Inspections, Proven experience as compliance manager

Functional: Deal with complexity, Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical skills, ability to multi-task and consistently deliver high quality work, business friendly and service oriented mindset, team player and consensus builder, attention to details, application of mind, able to work with minimal supervision.
