KYC/AML ASSOCIATE
Responsibilities
As a KYC/AML Associate within Bernstein SG’s Client Onboarding team, you will support the firm’s global client onboarding programme, systems and controls. You will conduct customer due diligence and risk assessments, maintain accurate client information and referential records, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to help ensure that clients are appropriately managed throughout onboarding and periodic review processes in line with applicable KYC, AML, sanctions and financial crime requirements.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Complete KYC/AML onboarding requests for new clients across relevant global business areas.
· Complete client reassessments and periodic KYC/AML reviews, ensuring that information and documentation are complete, accurate and current.
· Conduct customer due diligence and risk assessments in support of anti-money laundering, sanctions and financial crime compliance requirements.
· Identify potential KYC, AML, sanctions or financial crime risks and escalate material issues through the appropriate channels.
· Act as a central coordinator across Sales, Trading, Operations, IT, Compliance, Risk, Legal, ESG and Connectivity teams.
· Work with stakeholders across EMEA, the Americas, India and APAC to support onboarding delivery and strategic change initiatives.
· Liaise with client-facing teams to obtain the information and documentation required for new onboarding requests and periodic reviews.
· Align activities with Société Générale platforms, procedures and permitted KYC policies, while maintaining accurate client referential records.
· Perform daily reconciliations and contribute to internal projects, process improvements and transformation initiatives.
· Comply with all applicable risk, regulatory and internal policy obligations, including relevant conduct standards and the Société Générale Group Code of Conduct.
· Undertake additional duties as required.
Profile required
· Experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML, customer due diligence, compliance operations or a related financial-services environment is strongly preferred.
· Knowledge of KYC/AML requirements, financial crime risks and the client onboarding lifecycle; knowledge of financial markets would be advantageous.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence when interacting with stakeholders at different levels and across multiple regions.
· High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing client information, documentation and system records.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including the ability to identify issues and escalate risks appropriately.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and a high-volume email and case workload in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organisational, coordination and stakeholder-management skills across business, operations, technology, compliance, risk and legal teams.
· Ability to work independently on day-to-day deliverables while contributing effectively within a team and seeking management input for strategic, higher-risk or organisational matters.
· Resilience, adaptability and sound judgement, with a commitment to high ethical and professional standards.
· Strong Excel skills and good digital fluency; familiarity with Microsoft Copilot would be advantageous.
· Ability to identify manual, repetitive or error-prone tasks and contribute to practical process, control and workflow improvements.
· Understanding of confidentiality, information security, data handling and access controls when processing client information.

The Client Onboarding team manages the firm’s onboarding programme, systems and controls, associated client referential systems, and coordination with Compliance and Legal to support adherence to applicable policies and regulations governing KYC risk.
The successful candidate will be employed by SG GSC Morocco and fully dedicated to supporting Bernstein SG. The role will work with client-facing and control functions across EMEA, the Americas, India and APAC, contributing directly to global client onboarding, periodic reviews, referential-data quality and financial crime risk management.
The KYC/AML Associate will operate with day-to-day autonomy on assigned deliverables and active liaison with management as appropriate. Management input will be required for strategic, higher-risk and organisational matters.
