Originator Debt Capital Markets Financial Institutions (m/f/d) (Associate)

In this role, you will support senior originators in the coverage of Financial Institutions clients, helping address their funding needs in the debt capital markets and executing transactions with increasing levels of responsibility. Your key responsibilities will include:

•  Preparing client pitches, market updates, pricing indications, and other marketing materials.

• Conducting benchmarking analyses of Financial Institutions clients and their outstanding debt securities.

• Building and maintaining commercial relationships with clients, while acting as a backup to senior originators as appropriate.

• Supporting the origination and execution of public and private DCM transactions for FI clients across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

• Working closely with colleagues across Global Banking & Advisory, including Coverage, Syndicate, DCM Solutions & Advisory, and Rating Advisory teams, as well as other key stakeholders such as Markets, Legal, and Compliance.

• Contributing to the development of DCM's advisory capabilities and product offering, in line with the team's strategic priorities and growth objectives.

Experience and technical skills: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Debt Capital Markets gained within an international banking environment.

• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and market dynamics.

• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken, is essential; knowledge of French would be considered an advantage.

Within the Global Banking & Advisory division of Wholesale Banking, the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team provides tailored financing solutions to a broad range of clients, including corporates, financial institutions, and public sector entities, supporting their funding needs across the global debt capital markets. The team comprises approximately 100 professionals across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific, offering clients both local expertise and global reach. We are seeking an Associate to join our team in Germany.
