Responsibilities

The broader Securitization team is an investment banking function that operates within Société Générale’s Distribution and Credit Solutions (DCS) business, which is a joint-venture between the Investment Banking (GLBA) and Markets (MARK) divisions in the Americas. The joint-venture strategically combines Société Générale’s Credit & Financing capabilities with SG’s Capital Markets expertise.
DCS is providing a one-stop-shop to address the evolving client needs while providing them with comprehensive and holistic solutions. The objectives are: to (i) centralize origination and increase distribution, and (ii) provide services to fund managers to support them throughout their funds’ life cycle, alongside our recognized expertise and market positioning in serving our traditional corporate clients.
The organization is revolving around these key pillars: 
-    Financial Institutions Origination
-    DCM, Corporate & FI Bond Origination
-    Term ABS, Asset Backed Financing and Credit Distribution Engineering (Securitization)
-    Structuring and Financing; Capital Call Financing
-    Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities
-    Bond & Structured Credit Syndication
-    Credit Trading and Sales

The DCS Securitization team is looking for a Director-level banker to:

  • Originate and execute ABS transactions in the data center, aircraft, rail car and other esoteric asset classes. 
  • Join an established public Asset Backed Securitization and bespoke financing team that is core to the bank’s securitized products franchise as well as to the Americas investment bank platform.  
  • Implement the strategy of further expanding the breadth of the bank’s well-established ABS client base, particularly in the data center, aviation, rail car and other developing ABS sectors.  
  • Work very closely with the group head and is expected to be a vital senior member of the team working to originate business as well as help formulate, direct and execute business strategy, connecting with the relevant sector financing teams in the US as well as in Europe and Asia.  

     

Profile required

  • Minimum 10 years of ABS experience
  • ABS deal execution experience across a variety of asset classes with a focus on data centers, aviation and other esoterics.
  • Experience creating rating agency presentations and working with rating agency, legal and accounting teams
  • Experience generating ideas and creating pitch books for clients
  • Experience in organizing and conducting investor roadshow meetings
  • Strong presentation skills for interacting with clients, rating agency analysts and ABS investors
  • Collaborative team player as well as self-starter
  • Hard working with strong interpersonal, communication and quantitative skills

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Desired / Plus:

  • MBA, Masters or CFA

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
