EXECUTION / ORDER-HANDLING ANALYST
Responsibilities
As an Execution / Order-Handling Analyst supporting Bernstein SG’s cash equities activities, you will monitor order execution and provide timely, accurate intelligence on order status, market conditions and execution performance. You will support Trader Assistants, Sales Traders and client-facing teams through clear reporting, exception management and high-quality end-of-day communications. The role is expected to actively leverage and contribute to AI-powered workflows, automation initiatives and data-driven decision-support capabilities that enhance Bernstein SG’s execution platform and client experience.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Monitor real-time execution progress, including fills, remaining quantity and estimated time to completion.
· Assess the expected residual position at market close and highlight potential execution risks.
· Track participation rates against the market volume curve and identify whether an order is ahead of, in line with or behind schedule.
· Analyse passive and aggressive fills through would-volume analysis.
· Monitor order proximity to limit prices and support the assessment of related execution risk.
· Provide expected forward order-placement information based on the remaining execution schedule.
· Produce live summaries of macro conditions, sector flows and index performance relevant to active orders.
· Support intraday benchmark-performance feedback, including implementation shortfall and VWAP/TWAP analysis where applicable.
· Monitor volatility, spreads, liquidity conditions and relevant pre-open or intraday market changes.
· Manage execution exceptions, including risk alerts and algo-placement issues, escalating material matters appropriately.
· Prepare personalised end-of-day communications for High-Touch clients and relevant internal stakeholders.
· Comply with applicable risk, conduct, confidentiality and internal-control requirements.
Profile required
· Strong understanding of equity order workflows, execution terminology and market microstructure.
· Ability to interpret fills, remaining quantity, participation rates, volume curves, limit-price proximity and residual-position risk.
· Good knowledge of arrival price, VWAP, TWAP and implementation shortfall.
· Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail in a time-sensitive environment.
· Strong written communication skills and ability to produce concise client-ready summaries.
· Strong digital fluency and proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams.
AI & Automation Competencies· Strong ability to leverage AI-powered execution-intelligence tools to monitor order progress, market conditions and execution risk in real time.
· Ability to critically assess and validate AI-generated recommendations, alerts, forecasts and client-facing outputs before use or distribution.
· Experience using approved generative AI assistants, including Microsoft Copilot or comparable tools, to produce execution summaries, client communications and operational insights.
· Ability to identify repetitive order-monitoring and reporting activities that can be automated while preserving human oversight and controls.
· Practical understanding of prompt design and iterative prompting to obtain accurate and relevant outputs.
· Strong awareness of AI governance, model limitations, hallucination risk, data confidentiality and responsible AI use in a regulated environment.
