Responsibilities

Role Summary
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality support across the end-to-end operational lifecycle of cross-asset exotic products, ensuring that client requests, trade setup, controls, and post-trade issues are handled accurately and efficiently.
The scope covers exotic products across Equity, Rates, Credit, FX, and Hybrid asset classes, including Equity Linked Notes (ELN), Credit Linked Notes (CLN), share accumulators, auto-callables, and other exotic payoffs. The role requires close collaboration with Front Office, support functions, and clients to enhance the client experience, manage operational risk, and maintain a consistently high standard of service.

Primary Objectives
Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for client-related operational matters, ensuring that requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and in coordination with the relevant internal teams. Support day-to-day client service activities and manage client escalations, including information requests, claims, and complaints, while helping to strengthen long-term client relationships.
Trade Capture and Booking: Ensure accurate and timely booking in the relevant systems, in line with operational standards and control requirements.
Trade Lifecycle Management: Manage lifecycle events and coordinate post-trade actions to support smooth processing from booking through settlement and maturity.
Collaboration and Controls: Work closely with Front Office and support functions to ensure accurate product setup, quality bookings, effective controls, and timely resolution of production issues. Contribute to automation, process simplification, and the assessment of operational impacts from new products.
Procedural Documentation: Document and update procedures for sensitive processes and controls to support consistency, transparency, and operational risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client escalations, including information requests, claims, and complaints, with priority focus on Tier 1 clients.
  • Maintain the integrity of internal controls and reduce operational risk across post-trade activities.
  • Act as an intermediary between Front Office, Back Office, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and other SG teams on post-trade matters.
  • Respond to client incidents and system outages, define action plans, and follow up on operational issue resolution.
  • Support existing and new business development by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to client change requests, KPI production, and the timely delivery of agreed solutions.
  • Improve operational efficiency, security, and client satisfaction through process review and enhancement.
     

Profile required

Key Skill Areas & knowledge Required:

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work with pace and flexibility.
  • Strong communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Ability to work effectively with global internal partners across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, IT, Risk, Finance, and Product Control.
  • Positive, proactive mindset, with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and contribute to change initiatives.
  • Good knowledge of capital markets exotic products with cross-asset underlyings, such as Equity, Commodity, FX, and Rates, is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Python or VBA programming is an advantage.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Graduate degree preferred; graduates with prior experience in other sectors are also welcome.
  • Team-oriented, self-starting approach, aligned with the Group’s values of commitment, trust, and collaboration across diverse cultures.
  • Willing to work five days per week for atleast 1 Year
