Finance Control Trainee
Responsibilities
Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:
In the first few months, you will be gaining exposures across below aspects (but not limited to)
- Product life cycle, e.g. Cash equities, derivatives, fixed Income, futures, options, financing activities
- Processes, e.g Front-Back-Accounting view, Accounting principles, Risk and finance control, FX management, Head Office reporting, Account Payable
- Remote team collaboration onshore, offshore and Asia Pacific regional office
Once on-board to our dynamic environment and develop rapport across teams, you can expect to
- Prepare materials / dashboard for management and regional office
- Take in charge of key finance control processes and analytical review
- Drive issue investigation escalated from our operational partners
- Involve in business development and change initiatives
- Engage in small scale automation initiatives (using low code tools like Alteryx, Copilot)
Profile required
Applicant Eligibility:
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree holder is preferred
- Graduates with some working experience gained from other sectors are also welcomed
- Fluent communication in English is essential; Japanese is a plus
- Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across countries and culture background
- Attend to details while maintaining global picture
- Maintain positive composure in difficult stressful time
- Motivated by challenges. Enthusiastic to develop in dynamic and fast changing environment
- We required candidates who can work 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), Full Time

Department Description
We are looking for a Front Office application support who is determined for learning business products and activities and technical skills. The selected candidate will join our feature team supporting and developing for the Front Offces in the Global FIC Business (Interest Rate Derivatives, Bonds, Credit & Financing ) covering both pre-trade and post-trade activities.
As a member of the team, we work together as one to deliver the project and support our internal users. The team uses agile methodologies to bring values to users on the full front-to-back chain including pricing, workflow negotiation, deal processing, and lifecycle events.
The feature team is part of the global team will be focused particularly on supporting our global FIC platforms to deliver transformation projects that will accompany the electronification ambition of the business.
The role is based in Tokyo, Japan, within the MTO (Market Technology & Operations) service unit, supporting MARK FIC (Fixed Income & Currencies, including Rates, Credit and Financing activities).
The selected candidate will join a global Front Office application support and feature team responsible for the stability, support and continuous improvement of key FIC platforms.
The team works closely with Front Office users, Middle Office, developers, infrastructure and project teams to support and enhance the application chain across both pre-trade and post-trade activities. The scope includes pricing, electronic market connectivity, workflow negotiation, trade booking, lifecycle management, monitoring, incident management and transformation initiatives supporting the business electronification strategy.
This junior role is intended for a candidate with strong learning ability, technical foundations, client focus and an interest in financial markets.
