Fixed Income Front Office Software (Contract) Engineer

'- Build and enhance pricing and distribution systems for the fixed income business
- Provide hands-on front-office support for traders and sales, resolving issues quickly and driving permanent fixes.
- Gather requirements directly from the desk, propose pragmatic solutions, and deliver changes through to production.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and technology teams to deliver integrated pricing capabilities across the platform
- Contribute to a global team across Hong Kong, Paris, London, and New York.

'- Strong ownership and problem-solving skills, comfortable working under time pressure and supporting production systems
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning issues and enhancements end to end from idea to production
- Proficiency in an object-oriented language, ideally C# and .NET
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Experience with messaging or event-driven systems like RabbitMQ, NATS or Kafka 
- Familiarity with modern delivery practices and tooling such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira.
- Understanding of software design principles and writing maintainable code

Preferred:

- Experience building web UIs using frameworks like React, Angular or Vue
- Experience building desktop user interfaces with WPF and DevExpress
- Experience building robust and scalable real-time web applications with ASP.NET and SignalR
- Exposure to containerized deployment and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income and FX products such as bonds, interest rate swaps, and FX swaps

Department Description

As part of the Technology department of SG Corporate and Investment Banking, you will join a development team building pricing solutions for the rates and FX trading desk.

The team is located on the trading floor and operates as a feature team to develop and support fixed income trading pricing systems. It is composed of developers with expertise on the entire fixed income pricing chain, working together as one, to ensure self-sufficiency and proactive incident resolution at all stages of the software development process.
