Responsibilities

Position Description:

  • Associate/VP level sales within China Macro Sales team, covering HK/International financial institutional clients. The focus will be on Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Derivatives and financing products, denominated in G10 or EM currencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation, Client Coverage & Relationship Management
  • Proactively originate, structure and execute client business opportunities, leveraging Societe Generale's global platform, product capabilities and market expertise.
  • Take ownership of client coverage strategy, drive revenue generation and contribute consistently to both individual and team financial targets.
  • Manage and further develop existing relationships with financial institution clients, identifying business opportunities across FX, Rates and other Macro products.
  • Lead client engagements from idea generation and origination through execution, ensuring timely delivery of solutions and high-quality client service.
  • Develop new relationships with a particular focus on Greater China financial institutions and their offshore subsidiaries.
  • Regularly report client meetings to relevant stakeholders and maintain accurate client information in internal systems and tools.

Client Lifecycle, Risk Management & Business Analytics

  • Coordinate and oversee new account onboarding and client lifecycle management matters, including KYC processes, credit approvals, limit reviews, and maintenance of ISDA, GMRA, CDEA and other trading documentation.
  • Monitor client credit limits and utilization, proactively identifying capacity constraints and working with relevant stakeholders to secure additional resources where appropriate.
  • Produce client analytics, flow analysis, business performance reporting and market intelligence to support sales strategy and management decision-making.

Leadership, Teamwork and Stakeholder Management

  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment and contributing to the overall success of the franchise.
  • Work closely with and provide back-up for team members to ensure continuity of client coverage and business activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading, Structuring, Research, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams to deliver integrated client solutions and ensure efficient execution.
  • Contribute to strong cooperation across local and global teams/departments within Societe Generale, including Trading, Research, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Legal, Compliance and IT functions.

Compliance Awareness

  • Keep abreast of and comply with local rules and regulations of relevant market(s).
  • Comply with Societe Generale’s Sales Handbook and avoid entering any discussion or transaction that could lead to a liability for Societe Generale.
  • Comply with all internal guidelines pre- and post-trade
  • Comply with all applicable and general business guidelines such as Gifts and Entertainment Policy, Information Security Guidelines and Restrictions on external and/or internal communication.
  • Escalate all (potential) incidents, risks to management, COO or Compliance as appropriate.

Dealing Procedures & Coordination

  • Proactively cooperates with support functions with a mindset of zero tolerance for operational risks and errors
  • Timely, exhaustively and accurately input deals in IT systems, paying extra attention to the correctness of term sheets and credit processes, and efficiently validate Final Terms as appropriate.

Profile required

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Science, Statistics or Engineering
  • Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese preferred
