Internship - AI Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Software Engineer to join the STAR Treasury IT team and contribute to the development of LEIA, the AI-powered platform supporting Group Treasury activities. LEIA enables Treasury users to interact with data through natural language, generate dashboards and reports, and access advanced analytics with greater autonomy.

The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, Generative AI, data analytics and Treasury business processes. The engineer will help design secure, scalable and maintainable solutions that reduce time-to-insight and accelerate business use cases.

Software Development & Architecture

·       Design, develop and maintain backend and frontend components of LEIA.

·       Contribute to the evolution of the STAR AI ecosystem and its integration architecture.

·       Develop secure APIs and services providing controlled access to Treasury data.

·       Build scalable AI-powered applications and reusable technical components.

·       Participate in architecture reviews, technical design and code-quality practices.

·       Ensure performance, resilience, security, maintainability and production readiness.

Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering

·       Develop AI agents and orchestration workflows using modern agentic frameworks.

·       Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search and knowledge-retrieval patterns.

·       Integrate Large Language Models, tools and enterprise data sources through controlled interfaces.

·       Design data pipelines supporting Treasury analytics, reporting and visualization.

·       Evaluate emerging GenAI technologies and propose pragmatic improvements based on business value.

DevOps, Security & Production

·       Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes.

·       Support cloud-native and containerized environments.

·       Implement monitoring, logging and observability practices.

·       Apply secure-development, identity-access-management and AI-governance principles.

·       Participate in production support, incident analysis and continuous improvement.

Business Collaboration

·       Work closely with Treasury users, Business Analysts, Product Owners and STAR technical teams.

·       Translate business needs into clear, robust and sustainable technical solutions.

·       Help Treasury users become more autonomous through conversational and self-service analytics.

·       Explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
