Junior Equity Derivatives Trader

Responsibilities:
• Trading and making markets (or assisting with) on various equity derivatives on ETF and single stocks in all US markets for various client types, including hedge funds, retail, private banks, asset managers etc.
• Managing or assisting in managing a portfolio of various types of derivatives, which requires a good amount of discretionary decision marking.
• The trader will be expected to have the ability to learn and understand the dynamic of the portfolio and the market, and hedge with tradeable instruments, including stocks, options, and products from various other asset classes.
• Execute customer trades.
• Talk to various stakeholders inside the firm to work on solutions, including but not limited to sales, structuring teams.
• The job will involve good amount of daily operational work.
• The daily work includes but is not limited to: marking parameters and managing pricing, booking and checking risk, understanding drivers of daily market movements, researching on trade ideas, and building tools to optimize all of the above.

Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
• Interests in trading, markets and especially single stocks are necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent )options trading experience preferable but not necessary).
• Communication skill and teamwork is important, as the candidate will be expected to work with other traders in the team as well as various stakeholders in the firm globally.
• As the daily communication will be conducted in English, the ability to communicate in English in a professional setting is required.
• Technical skills required, especially around using Excel or statistical analysis tools to automate daily work and to perform quantitative analysis to improve trading performance.
• Willingness to be on top of various operation work in a detail-oriented manner. The ability to produce innovative solutions to reduce operational headwinds is also a necessity.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
