Position Overview

As part of the newly established Global Active Directory Governance initiative, the Global AD Governance Lead will be responsible for defining, driving, coordinating, and operating the worldwide Active Directory Governance framework across the Group.

The role combines technical leadership, cybersecurity governance, risk management, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure a consistent, secure, resilient, and compliant Active Directory posture across all Group entities.

The successful candidate will work within the existing Global Active Directory organization composed of approximately 40 FTEs responsible for Active Directory administration, engineering, hardening, and operational support across APAC, EMEA, and AMER. The role is not intended to replace operational teams but to provide worldwide governance, oversight, coordination, and security leadership.

The candidate will act as the primary point of contact for Active Directory governance matters with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Risk, Audit, IGAD, and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities

Global Governance & Leadership

• Lead the Global Active Directory Governance program across all Group entities.
• Collaborate to define and maintain the AD governance framework, standards, policies, controls, and operating model.
• Ensure alignment of local AD implementations with Group security and governance requirements.
• Coordinate governance activities with operational AD teams across APAC, EMEA, and AMER.
• Establish and maintain a worldwide Active Directory governance community.

Steering Committees & Executive Management

• Organize, lead, and facilitate Operational Committees (OpCo) and Steering Committees (SteerCo).
• Prepare executive-level presentations and decision-making materials.
• Produce meeting minutes, action follow-up reports, and management summaries.
• Present Active Directory risk exposure, compliance status, security posture, and remediation progress to Senior Management.
• Act as escalation point for major AD-related governance, compliance, and security issues.

Security, Risk & Compliance

• Drive compliance with ORADAD, ADRAC, CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and internal security standards.
• Monitor the security posture of all AD environments using Qualys, PingCastle (or equivalent tools), Microsoft security solutions, and audit reports.
• Consolidate security findings and coordinate remediation plans across entities.
• Support regulatory reviews, audits, and security assessments.
• Maintain a global view of Active Directory risks and security exposures.

KPI Management & Global Coordination

• Define and maintain Active Directory governance KPIs and security metrics.
• Consolidate worldwide indicators from APAC, EMEA, and AMER regions.
• Monitor remediation progress and security improvement initiatives.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly KPI reporting to management.
• Track governance maturity and compliance trends across all AD environments.
• Coordinate cross-regional initiatives and ensure alignment between global and local priorities.

Stakeholder Management

• Interface with Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Audit, Infrastructure, and regional AD teams.
• Foster collaboration across all Group entities.
• Ensure effective communication between governance, security, and operational teams.
• Support strategic decision-making regarding Active Directory security and governance.

• Experience leading global transformation or governance initiatives.
• Experience presenting to Executive Management, CIO, CISO, Audit, and Risk stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
