JOB DESCRIPTION
FUNCTIONAL TITLE Analyst 
DEPARTMENT Operations 
PROCESS    SGPMA Accounting and Reconciliation
POSITION REPORTS TO Team Lead

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

Manage the day-to-day process of cash reconciliation and all the accounting processes related to the equities business.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Geographical span:
Bank entities supported in Asian, European and America Zones.

Duties
•    Should have strong knowledge of financial securities and markets (Global Markets)
•    Should be able to perform Cash reconciliation, follow up on any breaks and unreconciled items until it is cleared.
•    Escalate unresolved issues to management as required.
•    To prepare vouchers, raising invoices and input accounting entries.
•    Basic understanding of Month-end Substantiation. 
•    Actively manage the controls so that there is no financial / reputational damage.
•    Basic understanding on accounting process and trade lifecycle. 
•    Document any updates or changes to formal procedures and process.
•    Ability to liaise with various internal stakeholders, namely FO Traders, PCG, Risk, Accounting & Rec, and other MO teams.
•    Ensure timely resolution of process issues, queries, and escalations. 
•    Identify process improvement opportunities/projects.
•    Assist in technology revamp projects, testing the release of new systems/enhancements. 
•    Ensure that policies, procedures, best practices, mission, and objectives set by management are adhered to.
•    Ad-hoc duties that may be assigned by team lead/management.

KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

•    Hand on experience in securities processing, Settlements, Instruction set ups.
•    A professional accounting qualification or an accounting degree.
•    Good communication skills. Fluent in spoken and written English. Presentation skills.
•    Meticulous, discipline and possess good working attitude.
•    Able to handle work pressures and adhered to deadlines.
•    Team player with excellent communication skills.
•    Good knowledge of MS Office applications
•    100% flexibility to work in shifts according to global time zones.
