Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Infrastructure Architect – Private Cloud is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-grade private cloud infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, resilient, and automated cloud services leveraging virtualization, compute, storage, networking, and infrastructure-as-code technologies. The architect collaborates with business, application, security, and operations teams to ensure that the private cloud platform meets organizational requirements for performance, availability, compliance, and cost optimization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·       Responsible owner of Technical Architecture of IaaS service, particularly about Compute and Storage offered by the GTE to its customer.

·       Review, Enhance and optimize service architecture to ensure it is aligned with group architecture standard, best practices, security compliant and meets customer need.

·       Participate in meetings of projects, feature teams and other instances of GTE.

·       Rely on Group architectural standards and best practices to meet the need expressed as part of the GTE strategy. Promote the use of GTE platform.

·       Contribute to the development of technical solutions from the point of view of hybrid IT infrastructure architecture

·       Designing architecture patterns for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure at scale with compute, storage, networking, and security aspects of the systems

·       Write the associated documents according to the needs - Design, HLD, LLD and present them to appropriate architectural forum as necessary

·       Contribute and be proactive in defining and improving standards, architectural patterns and best practices, as well as IaaS service catalogue of GTE cloud platforms in general.

·       Contribute to the development of GTE cloud platform's technical strategy

·       Participate in transformational projects related to GTE issues

Profile required

Skills and Experience:

·       Knowledge and experience of working on Infrastructure services technologies related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security. Predominantly on Compute and Storage

·       Not limited but experience of working with VM Ware and OpenStack compute and storage (Object storage, Block Storage, File Storage) offering, detailed understanding of services offered by these technology providers.

·       As an experience Architect, ability to design HLD, LLD in line with well architected framework and group standards.

·       Ability to communicate at all levels – expected to have strong control on presenting technical details to non-technical audience including senior management

·       Experience of Delivery large, scaled project required to setup compute and infrastructure from scratch to full operational service build on everything as service platform, service customer at enterprise scale.

·       Experience of working under strong Architecture Governance required to follow specific standards and process to validate designs before implemented in production

·       Experience of working in Private Cloud is strongly required but exposer to Hybrid and Public Cloud setup is also necessary.

·       Technology stack – VMWare Virtualisation Technologies, OpenStack, Containers, SAN/NAS, Software Defined Storage, Pure Storage, NetApp, HPE Storage, etc.

·       Required understanding of Software development Lifecycle, DevOps CI/CI automation, Infrastructure as a code, Infrastructure provisioning automation, orchestration, etc.

Qualification / Certification

•     Bachelors/master’s degree in computer/information technology disciplines

•     Good to have TOGAF/Azure/AWS cloud architect certifications.

·       Preferred any of Certification: VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator/Architect, Nutanix Certified Expert, Red Hat Certified Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, etc.
