Software Engineer - Data Engineer
Responsibilities
DUTIES:
· Help to manage the plannning and the coordination of the Data Engineering Team
· Support the coordination of the activities with Suppliers
· Support troubleshooting and performance tuning
· Actively participate to meetings and produce minutes, send reminders to activity owners
· Understand and contribute to define solutions to satisfy the requirements, requests, and needs of Data Management & Analytics Team
· Support the design of data solutions, defining effort, costs, governance and compliance with Data Management Policy and Privacy regulation
· Support to define, develop, test and release ETLs, Data Integration, jobs and procedures of data updates of the local DWH and Datamarts
· Document all new developments or changes, making the documentation available in the defined repository
· Interfacing and collaborating with various stakeholders and suppliers
· Ensure development cycle complies with project phases, and all stakeholders are updated
· Collaborate with other Depts to ensure information accessibility and data quality
· Contribute to the analysis of business processes that generate data acquisition, identifying any critical issues and areas for improvement
· Promptly report any actual or potential data risks, such as breaches, quality impacts, loss of relevant info, data viz displaying misleading info etc.
KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
· Deep Azure services knowledge including compute, networking, storage and databases
· Good ability to manage Azure DevOps and CI/CD
· Proficiency in Azure Synapse and Databriks
· Strong knowledge of advanced scripting in Powershell, Python and Bash
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, in particular PowerBI
· Basics of Microsoft PowerAutomate
· Proficiency in SQL in its various versions
· Strong knowledge of databases
· Good knowledge of SQL Server
· Understanding and ability to manage ETLs
· Good knowledge of Data modeling and Architectures
· Good understanding of Big Data context and technologies
· Basic Security skills
