Trainee – Global Asset Allocation & US Equity Strategy (fixed-term)

Société Générale is seeking a highly motivated Trainee to join our Global Asset Allocation and Equity Strategy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a fast-paced trading floor environment, build your knowledge of financial markets and a broad range of asset classes, and work alongside an experienced team of analysts, strategists and economists.

As a Trainee, you will create research models and report on cross-assets with a focus on credit and US Equities. You will data mine and build news flow models, take part in special assignments, and liaise closely with the Research, Engineering, and Sales teams. You will have the opportunity to participate in internal strategy meetings, contribute your ideas on key projects, and prepare key marketing presentations.

The ideal candidate should hold a Masters degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or associated discipline; a multi-disciplinary degree incorporating business, financial engineering, economics, etc. is advantageous, as is holding the CFA Level 1 / 2 qualification. Ideally you will have completed a previous internship or similar work experience within financial services. You will need excellent analytical, time-management and organizational skills, an excellent level of written and spoken English, and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues at all seniority levels. A good basic knowledge of management and equity factor models, accounting techniques, and valuation tools is required, along with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
