V.I.E. IT Trading Support (m/f/d)

The Equity Derivatives department at Société Générale is one of the leading players within the global Equity Derivatives business. DLP Trading Europe is the team within the department which is responsible for the retail structured product business in Europe. We price and trade in 11 different European countries roughly 300.000 products. With the products we offer and the service which we provide to our clients we are leading in Europe.

During your VIE mission you will support our traders on the Automation and Data analysis. Your main tasks are:

• Maintain and develop IT tools that improve the quality and profitability of the trading team
• Automate Front Offices processes 
• Improve profitability through data analysis
• Help optimizing hedging strategies
• Working closely together with other teams like front office development

A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.

Please note that it is mandatory to communicate us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation at least 2 weeks before the assignment start. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in either Applied Mathematics, Physics, Economics or IT curriculum

Language skills:

• Fluent in English (B2-C1)

Operational, technical & soft skills:

• Basic knowledge in Finance, specifically in financial and derivative products

• Good coding skills in Python and/or C# is required

• Knowledge of GitHub is required

• Working with SQL / databases is preferable

• Excellent communication skills are necessary to work with colleagues from different professional and cultural backgrounds 
• Articulate, friendly and approachable team player
• Ability to work under pressure and being stress resilient
   

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
