V.I.E. Operational Support - Trading Floor

Located in the heart of Société Générale Luxembourg’s Trading Floor, the team you will join is tasked with supporting the development of the Market Solutions (MKS) department’s product and service offerings within the SG Luxembourg Trading Floor, while ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management. In a trading floor environment that demands strict adherence to all processes, you will be in constant contact with the various trading desks and in regular contact with the finance department. Your role will involve ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data you provide not only internally but also to Société Générale Luxembourg’s various client entities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting to the head of the operational support team, you will be responsible for producing weekly, monthly, and annual activity monitoring reports in coordination with business unit managers and the various trading desks, as well as for issuing monthly accruals and quarterly invoices to client entities for the execution services provided by Société Générale Luxembourg’s trading desk.

You will be involved in the following tasks:

• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activity tracking reports in coordination with activity managers and the various desks in the trading room
• Participate in the design and production of all reports tracking KPIs and financial metrics (provisions and invoices for client entities regarding execution services provided by the SG Luxembourg trading room), including analysis of variations.
• As part of performance reviews for trading teams, prepare the quarterly presentation on business activity and its development.
• Prepare monthly provisions and quarterly invoices for client entities regarding execution services provided by the Société Générale Luxembourg trading room.
• Participation in the preparation of broker committee meetings and client follow-up sessions in collaboration with members of the trading desk team
• Provides operational support to the trading desk regarding all onboarding requests for new clients, brokers, counterparties, and funds.
• Contributes expertise to local process optimization studies and projects
• Monitors and updates procedures related to the trading desk support activities
• Assists in processing best execution reporting requests
• Manage the IT requirements catalog and development

Studies & experience:

• A master’s degree (Bac+5) from a business school, engineering school, or university with a specialization in Management or Market Finance

• Ideally, some prior experience in banking

Language skills:

• Fluent in English

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

• You have knowledge of market finance and transaction processing procedures.
• You are meticulous, curious, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a highly challenging environment that requires a high level of responsiveness.
• You are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and PowerBI, and have solid programming skills (VBA, Python).

• Strong communication and presentation skills

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Luxembourg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
