V.I.E. Sales Assistant/Marketer – Cross asset solutions

Responsibilities

Societe Generale is a leading player in structured products and equity derivatives and provides services worldwide in this domain. The structuring capabilities, cross-asset market reach and ESG focus of Societe Generale global markets division have been systematically recognized by the industry over the past decades.

This position within the product marketing team is fully integrated with the local sales force and offers a unique perspective in supporting sales on their commercial activity. This position is at the crossroads of many different business lines and serves as a link between sales teams, financial engineers, legal, compliance, communication, and the clients. It includes contact with other locations (trading, engineering and product marketing teams worldwide)

Typical tasks and day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Support the three senior sales in their daily interaction with institutional clients on the primary market activity related to the issuance of a structured products (pre trade, trade, post trade)
  • Pricing of structured products and derivatives exotic solutions, daily interaction with the Paris-based structuring and trading team
  • Documentation generation 
  • Management of the life cycle of the products after the issue date
  • Directly participating in the commercial effort by developing/enhancing digital tools to improve sales communication/marketing to clients
  • Designing, developing and producing detailed commercial presentations and other marketing materials – including newsletters – for all of the main clients (commercial and private banks, life insurance companies, asset managers, …)

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  •  Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Business Studies, Engineering, Finance, Economics)

  • Previous experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis in product development and marketing of financial products;

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2–C1).

  • Advanced in Italian is a strong plus. 
  • French is an additional plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage complex and time sensitive processes dealing with multiple internal and external resources;
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong analytical mindset, combined with curiosity, leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office 365 (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Developer skills (VBA, html) are a plus;
     

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Milan is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
