Responsibilities

Join our Fixed Income division as a Python Developer (for Market Finance), supporting exotic products across interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit markets. The team is fully responsible for coordinating the implementation of complex payoffs within Société Générale's internal information systems, serving various business lines across the trading division. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity that will support your continued professional growth and career development.

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:

  • Creating templates for new exotic products

  • Developing Python-based tools for process automation and security enhancements

  • Developing and maintaining documentation on the characteristics of exotic products

  • Updating exotic products in response to external changes or the addition of new components

  • Assisting in the selection of existing templates and, when necessary, creating new ones

  • Maintaining products to improve or optimize pricing performance

  • Investigating and resolving pricing-related anomalies

  • Continuously enhancing applications and addressing potential bugs

  • Creating views dedicated to the industrialization of the pre-trade and post-trade chain

Profile required

You will be most successful in the role with:

  • Experience in developing process automation tools using Python and/or VBA (knowledge of additional technologies such as Java, C#, React and/or Angular would be an advantage)

  • Practical knowledge of, and genuine interest in, financial markets

  • A Master's degree or Engineering degree, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Proficiency in English (knowledge of French would be an asset)

  • Practical knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and teams

  • Excellent analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a dynamic environment
