Responsibilities

The COO Office, Transformation, Process & Risk Manager plays a key to support the continued growth and transformation of Societe Generale Poland by strengthening governance, operational efficiency, and organizational resilience

The role is responsible for leading business transformation initiatives, supporting process optimization and governance activities, and contributing to the identification and mitigation of operational risks. Acting as a trusted partner to the COO, the incumbent ensures effective coordination across business lines and support functions while helping maintain a strong control and risk culture within the organization.

The role acts as the COO's trusted delegate, providing direct support on strategic priorities, governance matters, and executive decision-making

This role offers broad exposure to Corporate and Investment Banking activities and supporting functions, including Capital Markets, Global Banking, Transaction Banking, Securities Services, Operations, IT, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, and Real Estate.

The role is based in Poland and covers CIB activities. Given the strong integration of activities within Societe Generale Group, the role requires multiple interactions with international stakeholders.

The role is currently an individual contributor position with significant transversal leadership responsibilities across the organization.

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:

1. Business Transformation & Change Management

  • Lead and coordinate strategic and operational transformation initiatives across SG Poland

  • Support the design and execution of business improvement roadmaps

  • Drive change management activities to facilitate the successful implementation of new operating models, processes, systems, and regulatory requirements

  • Identify risks associated with transformation initiatives and propose appropriate mitigation actions

  • Coordinate stakeholders across business, operations, IT, risk, compliance, legal, and support functions

2. Business Process Management & Governance

  • Review, document, standardize, and optimize business processes

  • Support business units in aligning procedures with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices

  • Ensure effective implementation of process changes across teams

  • Conduct regular process reviews to identify efficiency opportunities and strengthen the control environment

  • Contribute to governance initiatives supporting operational excellence and sustainable growth

3. COO Office Support & Governance

  • Act as designated backup to the COO and ensure continuity of key activities during periods of absence

  • Prepare executive presentations, dashboards, and management reports for senior leadership

  • Develop a strong understanding of all activities coordinated by the COO Office

  • Work closely with Operational Risk, Business Continuity, Data Governance, and Third-Party Risk specialists to identify risks and recommend mitigation actions

  • Become the back up of experts to ensure a continuity of operations

  • Coordinate and chair the Regulatory Reporting Committee and monitor the execution of agreed actions

  • Support continuous improvement of the COO Office operating model and governance framework

Profile required

You will be best suited for this role if:

  • You have a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related discipline

  • You have minimum 7 years of experience in Business Management, COO Office, Transformation, Operations, Process Excellence, or Project Management roles

  • You have worked within Corporate & Investment Banking environments

  • You have a good understanding of Transactional Banking and Fixed Income / Foreign Exchange activities

  • You have a proven track record of delivering transformation and process improvement initiatives

  • You intreract with senior executives and manage cross-functional stakeholders

  • You know Lean or Six Sigma (certification is a strong advantage)

  • You speak both English and Polish fluently

  • You have excellent Leadership & Stakeholder Management skills: influencing, working effectively across organizational boundaries, communication and presentation, ownership and accountability mindset, judgment and decision-making

  • You have well-developed Analytical & Organizational skills: problem-solving and critical-thinking, attention to detail, managing multiple priorities and working under pressure, resilience and adaptability in a changing environment

  • You have a strong understanding of Governance & Risk Awareness: governance, risk management, and control frameworks, commitment to maintaining a strong risk and compliance culture
