Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Middle Office – Partnering closely with the Front office and all other support functions (Back office, Risk management, Finance management, GBTO IT), you will be responsible for the following: 
     
  • Provide first level support and control to APAC trading and sales desks for day to day post trade activity for FIC business line 
     
  • Post-trade activities include trade validation, allocation, pre-confirmation generation, monitoring trade/CTM matching status, and event management. Knowledge of bond settlement processes will be an added advantage.
     
  • Monitoring irregular transactions, late booking or lately amended or cancelled trades without justification
     
  • Monitor fixing of FX & Rates products 
     
  • Monitoring the feeding of electronic executed trades for fail trade
     
  • Assist in trade life cycle event management such as exercise, fixing, expiry, novation, early termination and etc.
     
  • Assist in queries and issues raised by business partners (FO, BO, PNL team and etc)
     
  • Assist in amendment or cancellation of booking when it’s required
     
  • End of Day reconciliation between FO blotter and system input

Profile required

Profile Requirements

  • Tertiary education in Banking & Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.

Department Description

The Markets Middle Office Control team, within Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO/MTO/MMO), supports the Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) business by providing post-trade control, operational oversight, and risk management across the trade lifecycle. Acting as a bridge between Front Office and supporting functions, the team ensures transaction accuracy, booking integrity, timely lifecycle event processing, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Through close partnership with Trading, Sales, Risk, Finance, Operations, and IT teams, the department plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and minimizing operational risk across the APAC region.
