Responsibilities

Division Description
The Insurance Solutions team develops innovative capital and financing solutions at the intersection of insurance, structured finance, and alternative investments. The group advises on and executes complex transactions, including securitizations, rated note feeders, collateralized fund obligations, and other insurance-related funding structures. Leveraging deep expertise in financial modeling, credit analysis, and rating agency engagement, the team helps insurance companies, asset managers, and institutional investors optimize capital efficiency, access new sources of financing, and support strategic growth initiatives in evolving private credit and insurance markets.

Position Overview
The Associate, Insurance Solutions will play a key role in the analysis, structuring, and execution of insurance-linked and structured finance transactions. The successful candidate will combine strong quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling capabilities with experience in securitization and structured products. This individual will work closely with senior professionals to support transaction execution, develop sophisticated cash flow and valuation models, conduct portfolio and collateral analysis, and coordinate with rating agencies and other transaction stakeholders.

The role provides exposure to a broad range of insurance and asset-backed financing transactions, including rated note feeders, collateralized fund obligations (CFOs), fund finance structures, and other private credit and insurance capital solutions. Over time, the Associate will be expected to assume increasing responsibility for project management, client interaction, and mentorship of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution & Analytics

  • Support the structuring and execution of complex insurance and securitization transactions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance detailed transaction, portfolio, and cash flow models for structured finance and insurance-related capital solutions.
  • Analyze collateral performance, cash flow waterfalls, leverage structures, and transaction economics across a variety of asset classes.
  • Evaluate transaction risks, sensitivities, and stress scenarios to support investment and structuring decisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, transaction summaries, and client presentations.

Structured Finance & Insurance Solutions

  • Participate in the design and execution of securitization structures involving insurance companies, asset managers, and alternative investment platforms.
  • Support transactions involving rated note feeders, collateralized fund obligations (CFOs), asset-backed structures, and other private fund securitization solutions.
  • Assess structural features including credit enhancement, liquidity mechanisms, reserve accounts, and covenant packages.
  • Analyze portfolio performance and monitor ongoing transaction compliance and reporting requirements.

Rating Agency & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare rating agency materials and support the ratings process from initial review through final issuance.
  • Coordinate data requests and analytical discussions with rating agencies, legal counsel, trustees, and other transaction participants.
  • Assist in responding to diligence questions and requests from clients, investors, and counterparties.
  • Monitor rating agency methodologies and industry developments relevant to insurance and structured finance transactions.

Project Management & Team Development

  • Manage transaction workstreams and deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with senior professionals to ensure timely execution of mandates and client deliverables.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to Analysts and junior team members as responsibilities expand.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements, modeling enhancements, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
     

Profile required

Qualifications

  • 2 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in insurance solutions role working on securitization transactions 
  • Demonstrated experience building securitization, structured finance or complex cash flow models 
  • Experience interacting with rating agencies
  • Advanced proficiency with MS-Excel with experience in VBA, python or other tool 
  • Experience with rated note feeders and/or collateralized fund obligations a big plus
  • BS in finance, economics, math or other relevant discipline ideal

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
