Responsibilities

The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Coverage within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (“SGCIB”) is responsible for managing the Bank’s global business relationships with large financial institutions. The role you are applying to is in New York on the Banks Coverage team. Currently, there are about 35 active clients within the Banks portfolio.

Day to day responsibilities (under the supervision of the New York Coverage team) include but are not limited to:

Commercial Support
•    Preparation of Client Meetings Briefing memos and Call reports
•    Pitch presentations 
•    Pre-Screening / Support Memos (business cases and client profitability analysis)
•    Interaction with business line product specialists on specific client initiatives
•    Tracking of live deal and pitch communication for current and prospective clients
•    Production of a quarterly thoughts piece
•    Client profile development
•    Special sector studies as needed

Compliance/KYC/AML Support:
•    Coordination of periodic Know Your Client reviews
•    Coordination of reverse KYC on SG for our clients

Credit Support:
•    Support to the Annual Reviews process (business comments, risk fraud forms)

Financial performance monitoring of the Banks portfolio:
•    Yearly budget, periodic income forecast, income correction campaigns on the portfolio
•    Profitability analysis (advanced Excel modeling) for prospective transactions
•    Various internal reports and operational Coverage team support
•    Banks Sector Strategy
•    Cross-selling analysis and pipeline reporting

Profile required

Past experience
•    Broad profiles will be considered.
•    Experience in the Financial Industry or in a client facing role is a plus, but not a pre-requisite.

Qualifications    
•    Undergraduate degree in progress or obtained.

Technical skills
•    Excellent analytical skills. 
•    Proficiency with AI, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
•    Organizational skills.
•    Ability to work in a high stress environment.
•    First class marketing skills.
•    Fluent in English.

Personal abilities
•    The position requires a self-confident person who is a self-starter; highly motivated and reliable, well organized, has a strong team spirit, and excellent attention to detail.
•    Strong written and oral communication skills.
•    Ability to complete accurate work under significant pressure.
•    Awareness of and experience in working with people with international backgrounds is a plus.
•    Accurately prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines.
•    Interest in the bank sector.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
