Responsibilities

The role combines Product Ownership responsibilities with direct people management accountability, ensuring team performance, employee development, engagement, and alignment with GTE/DWS/CWS strategic objectives.
                                                                                                                                       
Global context

CWS/DVF is in charge of development and software integration for DWS teams

DVF team activity is split in 3 main feature teams :

•    Desktop activity : supported by PDT Feature team with collaboration from DWS/EVS as business partner. 
•    Active Directory and tooling : supported  by API Strategy feature team with collaboration from DWS/CWS and DWS/USU as business partners.  
•    O365, Messaging and Telephony : supported  by DVF/UCS  feature team with collaboration from DWS/UCS as business partners

An additional team “System team” has been recently created in order to help feature teams to define and adopt standards and to drive transversal topics

The role is accountable for defining and delivering the product roadmap, maximizing business value through Agile practices, and ensuring successful execution of feature team commitments. In addition, the role carries direct people management responsibility, including coaching, performance management, talent development, recruitment, workforce planning, and fostering a high-performing and engaged team aligned with Société Générale's strategic objectives.
Product Owner Responsibilities:
•    Sync with the product manager and business partners for the development and keeping up-to-date of the overall roadmap
•    Lead ceremonies with business partners
•    Sync with managers and transversal teams to identify and remediate Technical debt and obsolescence topics
•    Sync with Architects and Technical leaders for request enrichment 
•    Respect and enforce safety rules and production processes (change, incident, problem, request)
•    Participate in defining and executing the lifecycle of the different products in the feature team's portfolio
•    Take ownership of the feature team's backlog and enrich it with the Epics, Features, and user stories to be implemented
•    Improve the team's Agile maturity  
•    Define with the team the different tools (DOR, DOD, Acceptance criteria) and make sure they are being used
•    Present, explain of the different requirements  and track there implementation 
•    Ensure the validation of new functionalities/features and participate in setting up and keeping non-regression tests up to date  
•    Make sure the team maintains good deliverable quality in accordance with DWS and group requirements

People Management Responsibilities:
The Feature Team Product Owner will also perform the following people management activities:
1.    Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical specialists across the feature team's scope.
2.    Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members to support performance, engagement, and career development.
3.    Define individual objectives aligned with team, DWS, and GTE strategic priorities.
4.    Perform performance reviews and provide continuous feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
5.    Identify skill gaps within the team and drive training, certification, and development plans.
6.    Support recruitment activities including candidate assessment, interviews, onboarding, and integration of new team members.
7.    Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment that promotes innovation and continuous improvement.
8.    Drive employee engagement initiatives and ensure team well-being.
9.    Manage resource planning, capacity management, and workforce allocation to ensure alignment between business priorities and delivery commitments.
10.    Support succession planning and talent retention within the organization.
11.    Act as the primary escalation point for people-related matters within the feature team.
12.    Promote compliance with SG policies, security standards, risk management requirements, and mandatory trainings across the team.
13.    Facilitate collaboration between Bangalore, Paris, and other global teams while maintaining strong team cohesion.
