Consultant Software Engineer - Python Full stack

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead timely deliveries for Feature Team.
• Consult and coach feature teams on their development craftsmanship ensuring good design and development standards
• Help architect and design robust XAAS services on Cloud platform
• Evaluate, implement and standardize new tools / solutions to continuously improve the Cloud Platform
• Leverage expertise to driving organization and departments technical vision in development teams
• Liaise with global and local stakeholders and influence technical roadmaps
• Passionately contributing towards hosting a thriving developer community
• Encourage contribution towards inner and open sourcing, leading by example
• Drive scalability, reusability, consistency, and SLA-based reliability for APIs/services.
• Contribute to hiring and retention.
• Propose modernization, innovation, and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Partner with software architecture and design teams to improve application evolution and usability.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong Python development experience.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, micro-service, MVC frameworks with relational and non-relational databases
• Good Experience in building APIs (REST) and cloud native applications.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring around development design and best practices
• Good understanding of application quality including testing strategies, frameworks and practices (TDD)
• Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps and Proficient with tools like GIT, Jenkin, Sonar
• Experience with Celery for async/background processing.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including query optimization, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Strong mentoring, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• DevOps proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
• Cloud (AWS & Azure) and observability tooling exposure.
