V.I.E - Risk & Compliance Officer

Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Head of Legal and Compliance, the candidate will contribute to the management of compliance, risk management and internal control matters.

Working closely with different departments, the candidate will support initiatives that contribute to the protection and sustainable development of the business, while gaining broad exposure across the organization.

You will support our Head of Controls and Operational Risk by:

·                Coordinating continuous enhancement of the internal control system.

·                Participating in the risk identification and assessment process.

·                Maintaining and further developing the mapping of controls across our various tools.

·                Coordinating the quarterly control campaigns.

·                Supporting the relevant staff (w,m,d) in carrying out the controls.

·                Monitoring and follow-up on/of action plans.

·                Acting as a key point of contact with Head Quarters on control and risk related topics.

·                Contributing to outsourced service monitoring activities and helping ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to support a variety of Compliance initiatives and gain exposure to the following key regulatory topics:

·                Financial Security and sanctions screening alerts management

·                Know Your Partner evaluation and process

·                Product Governance

This position will be in Hamburg.

We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

·       Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Law or a related field.

·       Initial experience in financial services, internal control and/or risk management through a first professional experience or internships is an advantage.

·       Structured and analytical way of thinking and working.

·       Strong attention to detail.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Excellent organizational skills.

·       Proactive, reliable and capable of managing multiple priorities in a challenging environment.

·       Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
