Senior Financing Specialist (Consumer and Corporate Origination and Structuring) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)
Develop and implement analytical frameworks to support asset-backed and securitization transactions across trade receivables and consumer and commercial asset classes. Perform quantitative analysis to support transaction origination, including evaluating financial performance, structuring alternatives, and assessing risk and return profiles. Analyze ongoing transaction and portfolio performance, including monitoring credit metrics, triggers, and risk indicators. Evaluate and model renewal, amendment, and refinancing scenarios by analyzing portfolio performance, cash flows, and risk impacts. Prepare quantitative analyses and financial models to support internal credit approvals, including assessment of risk, profitability, and capital impact. Conduct quantitative analysis of prospective opportunities, including financial modeling, market analysis, and assessment of transaction feasibility. Analyze and structure financing transactions by modeling portfolio data and evaluating performance for internal stakeholders, rating agencies, and investors. Apply statistical methods and rating agency methodologies to assess asset performance, size reserves, structure transaction tranches, and conduct stress testing. Support evaluation of third-party inputs by incorporating legal, audit, and servicing considerations into financial models and risk assessments. Conduct quantitative and qualitative due diligence by analyzing receivables data, financial performance, and operational processes to assess risk and compliance. Develop analytical materials for credit applications by modeling portfolio quality, transaction profitability, risk mitigants, and regulatory considerations. Prepare and communicate analytical findings, models, and performance insights to internal stakeholders, rating agencies, and external partners. Provide guidance to junior team members on financial modeling, data analysis, and quantitative methodologies. Requires up to 20% domestic and international travel for client visits, due diligence, marketing, and industry conferences. Salary: $259,748 - $450,000 per year.
Profile required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of professional experience as a Financing Specialist or any occupation/position/job title Originating and structuring asset-backed and securitization financing transactions involving trade receivables and consumer and commercial assets.
Must also have the following: 4 years of professional experience analyzing financial statements and receivables portfolios, including assessment of credit risk, portfolio performance, concentration, dilution, and seasonality for trade receivables, consumer and commercial asset classes, including auto loans and leases, consumer loans, credit cards, equipment loans, insurance premium, subprime assets, solar loans and leases, C-PACE loans; 4 years of professional experience performing credit analysis and preparing credit applications, including profitability analysis, evaluation of risk mitigants, capital usage assessment, and preparing reports and presentations to support transaction evaluation, internal approvals, and stakeholder decision-making; 4 years of professional experience structuring and analyzing financing and securitization transactions, including application of rating agency methodologies, reserve sizing, tranche structuring, and stress testing, and executing transactions with internal stakeholders and external counterparties, including clients, rating agencies, legal counsel, investors, and banking partners; 4 years of professional experience conducting quantitative and qualitative due diligence, including review and validation of portfolio data, assessment of operational processes, preparation of formal diligence reports addressing financial, operational, and regulatory considerations, as well as ongoing oversight of transactions and monitoring of portfolio performance; 4 years of professional experience developing a commercial strategy in structured finance, originating asset-backed structures and securitization transactions, meeting with clients and negotiating structural and legal terms; 4 years of professional experience managing a team of intermediary and junior staff to market, originate, structure and execute securitization transactions, and manage a portfolio of exposures; 4 years of professional experience in credit risk monitoring, capital management, and liquidity management to oversee structured finance transactions; and 4 years of professional experience working on structured finance transactions in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States and European jurisdictions.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
