Responsibilities

As a Conference & Event Specialist within Bernstein SG’s Investor Access & Research Marketing team, you will own assigned workstreams supporting the planning and delivery of conferences, thematic events and client-engagement programmes. Reporting to the Head of Investor Access and Research Marketing, EMEA, and working under the day-to-day functional direction of the London-based Senior Conference Manager, you will coordinate logistics, suppliers and stakeholders while maintaining accurate plans, budgets and project tracking. The team operates across London, Paris and Casablanca.

Your main responsibilities will include:

·       Own assigned conference and event workstreams from planning through delivery and post-event review, operating within agreed priorities, budgets and standards.

·       Maintain accurate project plans, timelines, budgets and records, providing clear updates and escalating delivery risks promptly.

·       Coordinate venues, accommodation, transport, catering, audio-visual, security and other operational requirements.

·       Manage supplier requirements and monitor delivery against agreed specifications, timelines and budgets.

·       Coordinate attendee registration, communications, scheduling, event materials and accurate system records.

·       Work across Investor Access, Research, Sales, Operations and external partners to ensure effective coordination and handovers.

·       As necessary, provide on-site and virtual support, resolving routine issues and escalating material operational, contractual, budgetary or reputational matters.

·       Complete post-event reporting and reconciliation, and support approved process, technology and automation improvements.

·       Comply with all applicable risk, regulatory and internal policy obligations, including the Société Générale Group Code of Conduct and relevant conduct standards.

·       Undertake additional duties as required.

Profile required

·       Experience supporting conferences or large-scale events, hospitality programmes or other client-facing activities is essential.

·       Strong organisational and project-coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, deadlines and competing priorities.

·       Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate budgets, timelines, records and event documentation.

·       Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across internal teams, external suppliers and event partners.

·       Ability to work effectively within functional direction while taking ownership and maintaining accountability for assigned workstreams.

·       Sound operational judgement, efficient delivery, effective issue resolution and appropriate escalation of material risks.

·       Strong administrative and financial-management capability, including supplier coordination, invoice processing, budget tracking and reconciliation.

·       Strong digital fluency and proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

·       Ability to identify manual, repetitive or error-prone tasks and translate them into practical process improvements.

·       Ability to develop and implement straightforward solutions using Microsoft 365, Copilot, Excel, Power Automate or other approved tools.

·       Ability to test and validate automated and AI-generated outputs, document workflows and controls, and support colleague adoption.

·       Understanding of information security, confidentiality, data handling and access controls; experience with BTS, CRM or event-management platforms would be advantageous.

The Conference & Event Specialist will work with colleagues across London, Paris and Casablanca, under the formal supervision of the Head of Investor Access and Research Marketing, EMEA, with day-to-day functional direction from the London-based Senior Conference Manager. The role offers broad exposure to international teams, external suppliers and high-profile conferences, thematic events and client-engagement programmes.
