NAV Supervision and Oversight Officer

The NAV Supervision and Oversight officer validates net asset values, client reporting, monitor the completeness of flows, collects information concerning the audit of funds, management, helps and trains team. As part of oversight and control responsibilities, he/she monitor and review the fund accounting activities performed at offshore center to ensure timely and accurate NAV calculation and reporting. Perform 2nd level of control on NAV deliverables produced by fund accountants to analyze and justify NAV impacts and exceptions. Fluency in English and German language is requirement.
Tasks and responsibilities :
NAV production and oversight
- As part of oversight and control responsibilities, monitor and review the fund accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate NAV calculation and reporting
- Perform 2nd level of control on NAV deliverables produced by the fund accountants to analyze and justify NAV impacts and exceptions
- Control and analysis of fund price confirmations received from respective custodian banks
- Timely and accurate publication of fund prices
- Review and follow up on reconciliations of the fund accounting records with depository and transfer agent
- Responsible for processing and booking of complex target fund distributions and reinvestments for special investment funds and mutual funds
- Processing of fund events (fund launch, mergers, transfers, liquidations)
- Reconciliation of claims from withholding tax payments with custodians
- Implementation of KYC processes for onboarding of new custodians
- Planning, testing and technical implementation of fund events in the Simcorp Dimension system
- Calculation and booking of subscriptions and redemptions for special funds; instruction to the custodians
- Adherence to standard procedures, checklists and controls defined for the process
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes
Expense management
- Creation and modification of fund service charges
- Processing of fund service charge accruals
- Invoice control and payment instruction to custodians
- Control of compliance with relevant "rebate" contracts
Technical support
- Technical support for custodian changes
- Coordination and implementation of system tests in the context of IT and SCD release changes
- Support the implementation of new products and services
Key responsibilities
- Communication with clients and other stakeholders to provide timely response to queries and prompt resolution of issues
- Coordination of annual audits and periodic reviews with fund auditors
- Manage Adhoc requests and contribute to special projects, when needed
- Periodic review and update of the procedures

Required profile
Operational skills
• Advanced level of German and English
• Good accounting knowledge
• Good knowledge of activities and investment products related to investment funds
• Good functional knowledge of Simcorp Dimension accounting software
• Good knowledge of MS office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Skype)
